For example, your Camel Active Metal Jacket description goes on about Stanley Kubrick for a while, then tells us that the jacket is made with 6% metal and the lining is 100% cotton. Hi, do you have any plans to stock sport-specific footwear suck as rock shoes for climbing, or cold-weather mountaineering boots. I have seen rock shoes elsewhere which claim to be size 52 european size, but which are far smaller. I'm size 14 and they were at least two sizes too small. Also, I realise that it is a niche market, but I there seems to be a gap in the market fo ghillie brogues (kilt shoes) in larger sizes. I looked everywhere and couldn't find them bigger than size 13. Hi, sorry you have been having some trouble with the sizing. I have just been to the warehouse and compared similar styles in Lacoste and Nike and they come up exactly the same. Even the width. However I then compared them both to a Lacoste and if there was any difference in size it was fractional! Maybe the size difference you found was down to the specific style. Cheers, Walt.

Once again your prices are high, even in the sale, and after ordering over £100 in items, I am still expected to pay £6.50 in delivery charges? Your lack of loyalty rewards is a worry to someone who regularily orders multiple items from you.
I wanted to buy a pair of light weight Columbia Silver Ridge shorts at £25 in the sale, but the £6.50 delivery charge put me right off so wont be buying. Surely you can get a deal with the Post Office on a 3-5 day delivery based on package weight? £2.50

We used to have two options but we dropped the 48 hour option as it got nearly as expensive as 24 hour shipping. £6.50 for a 24 hour service is a lot cheaper than other mail order large size companies. However we are looking into a cheaper and slower option.
We regularly check our prices compared to our competitors and our shoes are usually cheaper. As you must know finding shoes in large sizes is not easy so we have to work extra hard to find the suppliers and the shoes. We can't compete with the high street shoe retailers selling regular sizes as we simply do not have the buying power to get reduced price stock. We obviously can't compete with the standard size high street retailers as we do not have the buying power. We are just about to launch our Summer sale so you may be able to pick up a bargain.

Hi Walt, I'm looking for longer length Tees and short-sleeved shirts with collars (as opposed to more casual polo shirts). Problem is, most places seem to think that short sleeves should also mean short body - and the lowest button finishes about 3 inches above my belt instead of inside my trousers! Also, your Jack & Jones tees state "standard fit" - does this mean they are normal lengths or are they naturally a longer length, even though they're "standard"?

I bought some Sonneti tall fit t-shirts in white, great length for a while but then I found that they shrink when washed at 60 degrees ! And I can't get the yellowing out of them unless I crank up the temperature once in a while - will you stock some t-shirts that are pre-shrunk?

Sizing is never easy, different brands use different size conversions. Converse say a UK 15 is equivalent to a Euro 50.

I have checked around the web and the mighty Wikipedia came up with a great chart.

Shoe sizing is never universal due to conversions and last shape but if you have a 32cm foot you are either a UK 14 or 15 depending on how wide your feet are.

Why don't you carry any cool jeans brand such as, Levi's, Lee, GStar. Your range is a little to much out of date, and quite a distance from fashionable. Just cause I'm tall (38" legs) I do not agree to wear jeans just cause the lentgh happened to be right. Looking forward to more trendy pants/jeans from "real" jeans brands.

Ron, I'd suggest you check out the Jack & Jones and Sonneti jeans before judging them. They're fantastic style, decent quality and if anything more fashionable that the Levi's and Lee jeans that tend to have a very standard fit.
G-Star do up to 36" leg online (plus some stores), and they come up long and fit my normal 38" leg. Although the J&J are much more friendly on the wallet, especially the new line (much prefer the prices Walt!)

I am afraid the Vans hoodies are not available in tall fit, they simply don't make them.
The Sonetti XL hoodie is 78cm from the back of the neck to the bottom and the Vans XL hoodie is 74cm.
The Sonetti arm are 58cm long and the Vans arms are 56cm long.

I recently went to the sahara desert and walked for 70 Kilometers in 4 days,for charity. I crossed streams, shallow rivers miles of sand dunes and rocky terrain. They cost £110.00 but wow what a boot really comfortable and light weight, fully waterproof not one bit of sand got in. never rubbed and did NOT need breaking in. You should have a look at stocking footwear by Robert Wayne, they are very nice and fashionable (especially the dress boots line) but are impossible to get in large sizes outwith the US.

Hi I have size 18 feet and this has been the onlu UK seller of shoes in my size. Why have you stopped selling them? I'm not the only person in the country with my size feet. Forcing me into wearing size 17's is poor service and very painful. Will you ever stock them again. This really is not good enough.

I am really sorry about the size 18's. We used to be able to get the super sizes but over the last few years the supplieirs have stopped selling them in the UK.
I know they are available in the USA so we are working with a US wholesaler to get some imported. This is proving quite a challenge due to import regulations etc. I am going to keep trying though.

Its absolute murder trying to find shoes which are size 14, NARROW fitting and shallow.
Plimsoles are the best thing that fit me properly. Could you please increase your range of them, I can tell your own brand are too wide for my feet though and from other comments people have said about them.
I went into the flagship Oxford Street store of Topman today and they only stock up to 12, it was so frustrating seeing all those lovely styles, (which you could emulate), which do not fit.
Also, when you do have something that I might like, you NEVER have it in stock!

ive recently seen a pair of shoes which nike used to do which were navy blue trainers called Nike Air Articluate II shoes. They are great trainers because you can wear them in situations where you need to be a bit more formal. James Bond wears them in Casino Royale! Can WalkTall get hold of these or make their own version! Please note that they also are great because they dont have much padding underneath them! I'm sure most people who buy from this site dont have a height problem so they'll agree with me that the less padding that adds to your height the better!

These are probably the best slippers I've ever worn, however, they do make me feel like I am wearing clown shoes being red and white, and certainly make my feet stand out.
I can't help but think someone at Homey's had a little chuckle when they decided which colour from there current range they would make in the larger size.
Anyway, do you think Homeys will continue to make slippers in the larger size and produce any other colours?

Homeys slippers are designed to be fun, if you check the Homeys website it is all about taking it easy in style. We had the large sizes especially made for us and we ordered them in the best selling colour which was the red & white.
We can order other colours in big sizes but we need to order hundreds at a time, once the current batch have sold we will get some more but in different colours.

It's a tough call, Vans always have a good range of size 15's but DC only go big with court graphic but this autumn they let us down. We have a few pairs of Vans skink coming in the next few weeks in a 15.

I've bough many many pairs of shoes from your website in search of a practical and comfortable casual - everyday shoe that is also water proof.
In the earlier days I bought a few j-shoes from the website only to find that while these shoes were fashionable, they were terribly impractical for the UK's wet climate as your feet / socks get wet after walking a 100 meters.
What I'd love to see would be a few more options in practical every day smart / casual shoes that are somewhat waterproof.

Thanks for the voucher, I was just about to buy some stuff anyway so it was a welcome saving. I'm a bit disappointed in the availability of stock, particularly 40" waist jeans/trousers. This is obviously a very popular size, so would it not be a good idea to stock more? Better a few overstocks than disappointed customers. That said, everything else about the web site is spot on...

I am really glad you like the Saugatuck they are a great design. I am sorry but we do not have any other colour options as we are at the end of the season.
If you want a second pair I would order them soon, we are moving into an end of season sale next week and they are going to be reduced to £50 so keep your eye out and grab them quick as they are sure to go quickly at that price.

We would love to get some size 16 Reebok, Nike or Adidas but they are really hard to get hold of. The only large size we have coming is a basketball boot, Nike Zoom BB III. I am also in discussion with a US big size retailer who will hopefully help us import some bigger Nikes etc.

Hi this is a two fold question, firstly is there any plans to give any width information on jeans? I have rugby players thighs so most normal cut jeans are too skinny for me hence me having to search around for Jeans!

Any plain black trousers. As a mother to a 14 yr old who take 14 shoes already I am struggling to get simple tall clothes that can stand the rigeurs of a school day for this september.
Hi Walt , Thanks for replying I have just measured him and he is 42-44 waist 33 inside leg and 28in around the thigh. I forgot to mention he is a rugby player so he is broad as well.
Just to give you some idea his nickname on the pitch is 'The Beast'. 17 1/2 ins neck and 44in chest, off the peg shirts are too short and the same with t shirts of which he is xl.......and still growing!!. So if you can accomodate him plus 14/15 rugby boots, trainers and shoes I then ishould will be ok for at least 12 months. here's hoping!!

They went there to find a way of getting more large size footwear from brands like Puma into the UK. I will also speak to our Gola rep to find out if we can get some made up to large sizes.

Any chance of ditching the New Balance rubbish for more modern brands like Nike, Puma, Adidas and K Swiss. Although you have some, you could do with a greater range of more modern and retro/classic designs. Also, more size 15's please. I hate the fact that all the cool trainers are size 13 max and i then have to order from USA instead.

Am searching or some casual trainers. I travel to Germany fairly frequently and they cater very well for taller people - most depertment stores sell longer length shirts, trousers, suits and jeans. Camel is a big brand over there!! I've also bought Diesel jeans in Germany with a 36" leg (generous sizing so more like 37") and G Star Raw jeans with a 38" leg (all different waist sizes and styles for both). Is there any intention for you to start importing these brands and selling them?

I am sorry but it is really difficult to get above size 14 from brands like Nike, Reebok & Adidas as they only sell up to a size 14 in the UK. We do however stock size 15 from Vans & DC Shoes.

I am not aware of the style and we don't currently deal with Puma, please check out oddball.com they sell Puma but I'm not sure if they have the style you are looking for.
They are a real nice bunch of guys.
The shipping is $40 and you may have to pay duty & VAT when it arrives though.

I am a uk 13 and I am currently wearing a pair of Newcastle lace up apron formal shoes. Something similar would be good, although as I say, the sole material isn't very resilient so a better sole unit would be appreciated. Thanks for the prompt response by the way!

I have three young adults in my house each well above 6ft. I would like to be able to purchase shirts, t-shirts etc longer in length than the average. Everyone seems to be catering for the larger than average in feet, leg lenght and waist, but some have longer bodies than others. Therefore a lot of the tops do not come long enough. CAN YOU HELP?

Is there going to be a spring/summer 09 catalogue this year? Is this because the range of shoes available is not finalised? There seem to be periodic new additions and limited choice - for Nike in particular.
Hi Alex,
We will not be producing catalogues any more because as soon as they were printed they were out of date. Customers were calling for products in the catalogues that had already sold out.
Now we can constantly update our ranges and e-mail customers to let them know we have new lines.
I am sorry but our Spring delivery for Nike was late and is now up online.
